A JLP Russia Production. For the first time, traditional Easter Hymns will be sung in English and Russian together with global media broadcast. Our aim is to create a cultural bridge of friendship and trust between Russia and The West, during the month of Easter. The event is free for everyone. So join us on the 22 April at 20:30 at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Mary in Moscow, and be a part of something unique and amazing.

For the first time, traditional Easter Hymns from UK and USA will be translated to Russian language and sung 50% in english and 50% in Russian, whilst preserving the integrity of music and culture
Orchestra & Choir
The event will feature two independent choirs along with 30 person symphony orchestra performing original compositions

Guide Me O Great Jehova
Guide Me O Great Jehova was originally written in Welsh as Cwm Rhondda, taken from the Welsh name for the Rhondda Valley, is a popular hymn tune written by John Hughes. William Williams then translated the song into English which is used till the present day.

Preformed by the Moscow State School of Chopin, children's orchestra; The Four Seasons (Italian: Le quattro stagioni) is a group of four violin concerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives a musical expression to a season of the year. They were written about 1721 and were published in 1725 in Amsterdam, together with eight additional violin concerti, as Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione ("The Contest Between Harmony and Invention").
All Creatures of Our God and King
"All Creatures of Our God and King" is an English Christian Easter hymn by William Henry Draper, based on a poem by St Francis of Assisi. It was first published in a hymn book in 1919. The words of the hymn were initially written by St Francis of Assisi in 1225 in the Canticle of the Sun poem, which was based on Psalm 148. The words were translated into English by William Draper, who at the time was rector of a Church of England parish church at Adel near Leeds. Draper paraphrased the words of the Canticle and set them to music.

Thine Be the Glory, Risen Conquering Son (French: Ã€ toi la gloire O RessuscitÃ©), also titled Thine Is the Glory, is an Easter Christian hymn, written by the Swiss writer Edmond Budry (1854â€“1932) and set to the tune of the chorus "See, the Conqu'ring hero comes" from Handel's oratorio Judas Maccabaeus, the 3rd part. The hymn is sometimes sung at weddings or funerals, and in Ireland is associated with Christmas as well as Easter. An English translation was written in 1923 by Richard Hoyle (1875â€“1939). This remains under copyright in some jurisdictions. With German lyrics it is sung as an Advent hymn called Tochter Zion, freue dich.
Christ The Lord Has Risen Today
Christ the Lord Is Risen Today is a Christian hymn associated with Easter. Most of the stanzas were written by Charles Wesley, and the hymn appeared under the title Hymn for Easter Day in Hymns and Sacred Songs by Charles and John Wesley in 1739. The hymn is a variation of an earlier hymn Jesus Christ Is Risen Today, a 14th-century Latin hymn which had been translated into English and published in Lyra Davidica in 1708 (and later in 1749 in Arnold's Compleat Psalmodist).
You Raise Me Up
"You Raise Me Up" is a song originally composed by Irish-Norwegian duo Secret Garden. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf Lovland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. The Only Begotten Son is an Easter Russian Hymn written by Pyotr Turchaninov (December 1779 - March 1856 ) - Archpriest , spiritual Russian composer , harmonizer ancient church chants. Born in 1779 in the family of Kiev nobleman. He was educated in the public schools of Kiev. The boy was taken for a beautiful voice in the chorus of General Levanidova. Prince Potemkin heard in Kiev levanidovsky choir was delighted voice Turchaninova and took him to St. Petersburg , entrusting the leadership of Giuseppe Sarti . In 1792 he returned to Kiev in the same choir, who was then under the control of Wedel.
Rejoice, Ye People (Ð Ð°Ð´ÑƒÐ¹Ñ‚ÐµÑÑ Ð›ÑŽÐ´Ð¸Ðµ)
Giuseppe Sarti ( ital. 's Giuseppe Sarti ; baptized December 1 1729 , Faenza - on July 28 1802 , Berlin ) - Italian composer and conductor. About 20 years he lived and worked in Russia, made a significant contribution to the history of Russian music.Â In the Russian period of his work (chiefly in the Court Chapel ) Sarti composed to order a lot of sacred music - as a Catholic (in Latin texts) and Orthodox (in Church Slavonic liturgical texts, despite the fact that he did not know the Russian language). He is the cantata the Te Deum (in the capture of the fortress Kilia , 1790) and two of the Requiem (1793, 1798). Among the many works of "orthodox" concert music Cherubic , Easter concert, "Rejoice, ye people!"
